the BIG weekend news...

is that I am now engaged to Navin!

How did it happen?

We got dressed up (me in a dark green silk Panjabi outfit, he wore a
sharp suit iwth a silk tie) and went out for a lovely candlelit dinner
overlooking the Pacific Ocean. It was quiet and private, the food was
excellent, the champagne chilled. After dinner, we decided to take a
walk along the Santa Cruz wharf (not to be confused with the Santa
Cruz Boardwalk). It was fairly quiet except for the barking sea lions
and noisy sea otters. At the end of the wharf, he left me speechless
when he took a ring from his pocket and asked me to marry him. Of
course, I said yes!
